Appointment of the School Sport Australia President

posted on 8 March, 2023

School Sport Australia (SSA) today announced the appointment of Graeme Jennings as the President of School Sport Australia. Graeme was previously the President from 2016 – 2020 and brings a very good understanding of the national perspective.

Graeme demonstrates high level organisational leadership particularly within contemporary education. As College Principal of the Great Lakes College Forster/Tuncurry multi campus he leads the largest secondary public education institute on the NSW North Coast. Graeme sees teamwork as critical to ensure positive outcomes across the three campuses and he will bring this same purpose as he works to enhance a team focus for the SSA Board.

He is a strong advocate for education and sport. Graeme has a long and extensive history with sport and educational leadership involving students, staff, officials, parents, coaches, and communities. He is acutely aware of the importance of teamwork, communication, accountability, inclusivity, and transparency and looks forward to the renewal of old acquaintances and establishing new friendships as he once again leads the SSA Board in its strategic direction.

The NRSSC and SSA Board welcome the appointment of Graeme as President of School Sport Australia.
