Following selection at the 2016 SSA Hockey Championships in Melbourne, the School Sport Australia All Australian Girls and Boys Hockey teams are currently competing in Germany, Belgium and Holland.
SSA President Graeme Jennings said previous international hockey tours have been most successful and have unearthed many players who have gone on to illustrious careers both in Australia and overseas.
“Representing your country at any level is an achievement of which our students can feel very proud,” he said.

All Australian Boys Hockey Team Updates
The All Australian Boys Hockey Team were hosted by Amsterdam H&BC Under 18 boys for their first match on tour on Tuesday night (23 May, 2017).
In the stands watching was ex Australian Schoolboys Captain, Kookaburra of the Year for 2016, and current Amsterdam H&BC player, Fergus Kavanagh.
Luca Brow captained the team. The result a 4-1 win, with Ky Willott, Miles Davis, Hugh Snowden and Luke Jackson all scoring for the Australians.
In their second match, the boys played Braxgata and came away with a 6-1 win.
All Australian Girls Hockey Team Updates
The All Australian Girls Hockey team were hosted by Amsterdam H&BC Under 18 girls for their first match on tour on Monday Night (22 May, 2017).
Their first training session in the morning was assisted by Former Hockeyroo world player of the year and now Dutch Women’s coach Alyson Annan.
Courtney Schonell captained the team. The result a 2-2 draw, with Samantha Bowles and Genevieve Ferguson scoring for the Australians.
In their second match against Push Hockey Club, the girls lost 2-3. It was a hard fought, physical game and the girls kept trying to the end.
